Originally from Guatemala and of Mayan and Spanish descent, Aimée Del Aguila Donoho is an educator, therapist, and author with more than 26 years of experience in educational and mental health settings in Hawaiʻi. Her work is rooted in emotional wellness, belonging, and helping children discover their inner strength through storytelling. Inspired by the beauty and cultural richness of Hawaiʻi, Aimée created The Magic of Poliʻahu series to support meaningful conversations between children and the adults who care for them. She enjoys international travel, personal growth, and spending time with her family.

Linda Rowell Stevens is an artist and illustrator whose work blends softness, movement, and emotional storytelling inspired by the natural world. Her illustrations for The Magic of Poliʻahu series were created to evoke wonder, connection, and a sense of inner warmth for young readers. Linda's artistic practice is deeply influenced by landscape, color, and the healing power of visual storytelling.
